Reservations

Campground and office are open April 1 to Dec 1, closed for winter months. Campground open for reservations for 2015 on April 1, 2015.  Call (989) 735-3881 for reservations.

Cancellations

  A camping credit is available anytime a reservation is canceled.

Dog Rules

Your dog must be under immediate control on a leash not exceeding 6 feet.

Dog are not allowed on bathing beaches, playgrounds or in buildings.

Dog droppings must be cleaned up and disposed in waste containers or trash
bags.

If you leave the campground take your dog with you. Dog must not be allowed to bark and disturb other campers.

If rules are not followed you will be asked to leave the campground.

Alcona Park

Located on the historic Au Sable River floodwaters above the Alcona Dam, this 1100 acre park has three miles of shoreline on each side of this trophy fish producing river. Surrounded by the Huron National Forest and is a favorite home away from home for many vacationers. The river provides quality fishing of Walleye, Pike, Perch, Bass and Trout. Canoeing, boating, swimming, fishing, hunting and wildlife viewing are all popular activities for visitors. Over 450 campsites available. Camping cabins are available for rent!

Driving Directions

Take M-65 north to Glennie, Michigan.  Turn west on Bamfield Road to AuSable River Road.  Turn right on Au Sable River Road to park entrance. Approximately 1 mile.

or

Take M-33 north through Rose City, Michigan to Route 604.  Turn east on Route 604 and continue to Au Sable River Road.  Turn right on Au Sable River Road to the park entrance.  Appoximately 1 mile.
