The river provides quality fishing of Walleye, Pike, Perch, Bass and Trout. Canoeing, boating, swimming, fishing, hunting and wildlife viewing are all popular activities for visitors. The AuSable may just be the finest brown trout fly fishing east of the Rockies. If that were not enough reason to visit the river, the AuSable is also one of the best canoeing rivers in the Midwest. Canoe & Kayak Rentals are located in Glennie and Mio. Bait & Tackle Shops are located in Curtisville and Glennie.
